What is a 3-season solarium (or Veranda)?
Unlike a simple glass roof or a shelter, The 3-season solarium is a true extension of your home. It's a closed structure, not insulated for winter, but perfectly weatherproof in summer and autumn.
Why choose the 3-season model?
- Maximize use of the courtyard : Enjoy the outdoors from May to October (and beyond).
- Total protection : No more mosquitoes, no more rain on patio furniture, no more wind knocking over glasses.
- Real estate development : Adds an aesthetic living space to your property.

For which projects is a 3-season solarium ideal?
Existing gallery, covered balcony, 3-season patio
The 3-season solarium is particularly suitable when you already have a covered porch or balcony and wish to close it off. It allows you to transform an existing structure into a true 3-season room, simply by adding the appropriate windows. It's often the best solution for maximizing existing space.
Single-family homes, semi-detached homes and cottages
This type of solarium is equally suited to single-family homes, semi-detached homes and cottages. In urban settings, it lets you make the most of every square meter of yard. In the country or at the cottage, it becomes a privileged place to enjoy the landscape, even when the weather's a bit temperamental.
3-season rooms unheated in winter
In reality, 3-season solariums often become an everyday veranda: coffee area in the morning, reading corner in the afternoon, aperitif with friends in the evening. In winter, the room is not designed for use in extreme cold, as it is less well insulated, but remains pleasant on milder days.

FAQ - Ez Sun 3-season solariums
Until what time of year can I use a 3-season solarium in Quebec?
In practice, most customers use their 3-season solarium from spring through to late autumn. When the sun is shining, the room can remain pleasant even when the outside temperature is cooler. On the other hand, it is not designed to remain comfortable in very cold weather without an additional source of heat.
Can a 3-season solarium be converted into a 4-season solarium at a later date?
Sometimes it's possible to improve certain elements (better glazing, better insulation of certain sections), but a true 4-season solarium generally requires a different design from the outset: foundations, insulation, structure, heating, etc. It's best to consult us to find out what's realistic in your case.
What's the minimum budget for a 3-season solarium?
The budget varies according to size, configuration, height and options chosen. From the very first meeting, with a few basic details, we can give you an idea of the price range. The detailed quote then allows you to see exactly what's included, and adjust the project if necessary.
Does the 3-season solarium require a lot of maintenance?
No. Regular cleaning of glass surfaces, vinyl and screens, along with an occasional inspection of seals and fasteners, is usually all that's needed to keep your solarium in good condition. With these simple steps, your Ez Sun 3-season solarium will look good and function well for many years to come.
What's the difference between a 3-season and a 4-season solarium?
The 4-season solarium is an insulated extension of the house (foundation, heating, triple glass) usable at -30°C. The Ez Sun 3-season solarium is a non-insulated room, ideal from May to October. It's much more economical, quicker to install and offers better ventilation in summer.
